Catalyst Liberia Incorporated has successfully partnered with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to implement a series of agricultural support projects aimed at strengthening food security and improving rural livelihoods across Liberia.
Our role extended beyond distribution—we ensured that every intervention was effectively planned, delivered, and monitored for real impact. Through these FAO-funded initiatives, Catalyst provided essential agricultural inputs to over 14,000 smallholder farmers and vulnerable households across three counties, enabling communities to increase production and build resilience.
Key areas of our work included:
Provision of Agricultural Inputs:
Distributed large quantities of high-quality planting tools, seeds, and farming materials to farmers, women’s groups, youth associations, and other community-based organizations.
Implementation Support:
Coordinated field-level activities, community mobilization, and beneficiary organization to ensure smooth, transparent, and timely delivery of all inputs.
Monitoring & Verification:
Conducted detailed field monitoring, beneficiary verification, and usage assessments to ensure inputs reached the intended recipients and were used effectively.
Outcome Documentation:
Prepared comprehensive reports on project progress, challenges, and results—highlighting improvements in crop production, household food availability, and community-level resilience.
Strengthening Local Capacity:
Worked with county agricultural offices, farmer cooperatives, and extension workers to strengthen local structures supporting long-term agricultural growth.
These FAO collaborations demonstrate Catalyst Liberia’s capacity to manage large-scale agricultural programs, deliver high-quality field operations, and ensure measurable improvements in rural livelihoods.
