As part of its agricultural diversification strategy, Catalyst Liberia Inc. engages in animal husbandry initiatives to improve livestock production and enhance rural livelihoods.

By training farmers in the rearing of poultry, goats, and pigs, the organization helps smallholders adopt best practices in animal health, feeding, and housing.

These efforts contribute to increasing meat production, providing an alternative protein source, and generating additional income for rural farmers.

Through partnerships with local and international organizations, Catalyst facilitates access to veterinary services and livestock management resources. The integration of animal husbandry with crop farming also supports sustainable agricultural practices, as manure from livestock can be used as organic fertilizer to enhance soil fertility.
